Left in the inkwell...

Se quedaron en el tintero...

Believe it or not, I DO remember the little inkwells, or at least the holes in the antique pupitres (student desks) that used to be for ink. By the time I was in 3rd and 4rh grade, however, we were not using the original plumas (feather pens), we had graduated to the dipping kind and soon after to the fountain pen.

Anyway back to the expression...

Yes, so many words left unwritten...no time...but the thoughts still rumble around...so I decided to enlist your help.

My reason for blogging is to hone writing skills with very regular practice. The once a week photo summary is simply not enough. Let me know which of the following titles or topics you might make time to read. Hopefully, with your encouragement, I will find time to write about them. Here is the list in no particular order.
  1. Day of the Armenian Genocide, April 24
  2. Still reeling...not really (about the day hubby walked out on the job!)
  3. Reflecting on Retirement
  4. Cinco de Mayo: What it is, what it is not, and the fiesta
  5. AP Here I Come!
  6. The Basques are Coming!
  7. BICS, CALP, and SEX
  8. 25 Random Things (a me-me)
  9. Other:..............................

I eagerly await your responses. If this works, I may have to think of a way to reward my readers. Hmmmm....

Que is AP, BICS, y CALP?

Parece bueno. Me interesa todo.

I'd also like to hear about your experiences...growing up on the mission field, living in Europe and on the ships, teaching, raising kids...maybe have a "Memory Monday" or something?

Woke up at 5 a.m. this morning and my very first thought was "I should have used 'que son' instead of 'que es'" LOL I'm still making lots of little mistakes like that, as well as BIG ones :-) Well, that's how you learn.

I would love to read any of those... to me blogging has opened up a new way of getting to know my relatives...

To Kim,
I loved your "Memory Monday" idea, and will definitely write aand explain the acronyms.
I laughed at the fact that you woke up ready to correct your mistake. That's the kind of thing that has happened to me oft!

To Elizabeth,
Same here. I wish ALL of us were blogging for that reason.
