Project 365: Week 46

Home Again

Sunday afternoon we celebrated Sam's 31st with a cookout, beautiful weather, outdoor fun on the ATV, and a rousing game of Nertz. Sam won by far.

Monday I got right to work on my giveaway. I selected five candle holders from Mike's pottery to choose from.

Indian summer will not last, so I needed a last photo of fall decor.

Wednesday, I was visiting my mother and as a bonus got to see the niece just before she headed to Chicago to read her paper about technology in missions at a big conference. So proud of her! In the photo, before rushing out the door, a routine breakfast--bowl of cereal and Facebook.

Michael came back from vacation with at least 22 pottery ideas he'd been mulling over, but he is very responsible and as they say "first things first". Unfortunately, there was some more work to be done on the heating system and outdoor stuff to tend to while the weather is good. Pobrecito, no pottery puttering this whole week.

After working so hard all week, catching up and settling back into the home duties, it felt good to take today off and go to the Creation Museum with the newly formed group of seniors from our church, the Elderberries.

I started a new hobby this week and I am so excited about it, but I can't tell you yet because it is a Christmas surprise.
What have the rest of you been up to? It is a busy time of year, but I do hope we still find time to check in with Sara and friends.

I'm so glad you switched to the pop-up comment page! :-) I don't know if it's old brain or tired brain (or both) but I have trouble remembering all the photos on a 365 post in order to comment on them; this means I don't have to...

I can always remember Sam's age since he's exactly one year older than we've been married :-) I remember meeting you for the first time when Sam was just a babe in arms. You were so welcoming to the family it did my heart good!

I'm quite excited about the pottery I won! Partly because it means you have to come and visit me to bring it. lol Let me recommend spring or fall. Summers are just too flat out HOT here. Oh wait, it's still spring isn't it. haha

Love that photo of my girl :-) She said Chicago went well, not only the presentation but the fun time she had with my friends going for tea at the Drake Hotel. I'm so thankful for friends who stand in for me! I am sad to miss these things in her life but grateful to know others are doing what I would do to be there for her.

Hope Mike has finished all the heating system stuff so he can get back to the pottery. Can't wait to see his ideas come to fruition.

What a great name for the seniors group! Love it :-) Am hoping we can make it to the Creation Museum on the next furlough. It sounds like an interesting place.

Can we try guessing the new hobby? lol Seriously, I wouldn't have a clue. But I'm glad you're excited about it!

I'm with Kim on the pop up comment section. I can never remember all I want to say about the pictures without seeing them again!

Happy birthday to Sam!!

Hey, maybe you need to deliver my pottery too!!!! wouldn't that be fun!

I know Kim was excited to see her girl on here. I know I love seeing pictures of my girl that others have taken. So hard to be far a way!

Great week Rita!!

Maybe I should just do one comment section. Now I guess it is a little late.
